Working life

July 19, 2007 by jamescol

Things been great. I cycle to work everyday and people at work are nice bunch of people. Best thing is my salary is on a weekly basis so I see increasing figure every week. So far I’m not really tied up to work and it is very relaxed. But I looked at my collegue who has been here for 4 weeks, work has been piling up in her case. Is that what is going to happen to me in the near future???

Summer internship

July 19, 2007 by jamescol

7th July 2007

I need to get packed since I will be moving in to my new place this Sunday. Looking forward to work in TARCC, which will start last week.

I went to the site the other day, and it was great. And I heard that they will be celebrating Malaysian 50th Independence in TARCC, that’s pretty much a bonus.

Crazy week

July 19, 2007 by jamescol

 4th June 2007

The last one week had been pretty hectic since I not only had to go for a teaching programme workshop, I also had my internship interview, and I helped out in finalizing my group’s final report. All of these are meshed into seven days of hell.

I think it all started with the teaching workshop on Saturday, but it became worse with the internship interview on Monday, where I had to wake at 5:00pm to catch the flight at 7-ish. It might not look that bad, but this flight was a one day return flight to Aberdeen. By the time I came back home I was really exhausted.

I can’t rest for the next few days as I had to finish my final report where all of us did not sleep until the next day just to finish our final report.

I’m just glad that everything is over now. Looking forward to the holiday although I still have to prepare for my project seminar and the 15 days work as an assistant teacher.

Pledge…to keep or not to keep

May 21, 2007 by jamescol

I made a pledge a week ago, that is to memorise the Latin mass before the end of this summer. Now that I’m slowly coming to my senses, it does seem a tad difficult to achieve.

When I learn the Mass in English (still in the process of memorising), it was of a different case as I have English fundamentals to begin with. But Latin, that’s like Greek to me. And now I heard the Pope is planning to revive the use of Latin mass, I am totally speechless.

Snow Patrol – Signal Fire (Spiderman 3 OST)

May 20, 2007 by jamescol

I heard people been saying that this song isn’t good, or not as good as the previous OST for Spiderman. And even when it comes to good comments, it will be something like those songs where you only get to like it after listening to it a couple of time (like Kelly Clarkson’s latest single – Never Again).

But I find it great even since the first time I heard it. Or probably I’m just biased since Snow Patrol is my favourite band.

When consciousness starts to kick in…

May 20, 2007 by jamescol

I don’t know what came into me yesterday that’d made me decided on that blog title. Now that I read and re-read it, it’s becoming more and more cheesy (wasn’t my intention to make this pun-ish).

Too late for any changes now, and even if I can, I couldn’t be bothered to do so.

Cliché cliché

May 19, 2007 by jamescol

Well, well, what do we have here?

I guess I finally succumbed to this blogging world. It’s tempting to be able to put that come-back line you just thought of 5 hours after an argument. Ah well, we are all human and not everyone is equipped with  spontaneous sarcastic line of defences. Especially when it’s not your mother tongue (excuses for apologetics like me!)

Truthfully, I’m just bored and another truth is I have had plenty of blogs that had simply vanished into thin air after a couple of months. And I have a feeling that this one is just gonna be another one of those Colin’s blogs that also had being abandoned and finally disappeared.

Hmm let’s just see how it goes! (Cliché since I said this on my last blog, and on my last last blog, and the one bfore that…)
